Icona Toscana

Angela Indelicato and Elena Cardinale are licenced tour guides in Florence. Both graduated in Art History from the University of Florence and since 2009 have worked together as tour guides under the name Icona Toscana. They have extensive experience, working with a variety of clients including school groups, families, VIPs, adults and groups from all around the world. They both worked in the Opera del Duomo Learning Team, developing visits for children, refugees, people with special needs and prisoners.

Having a natural penchant for social relations and organizational skills, they have been helping travel agencies and private clients to build flawless tailor–made tours to make the best of people’s time in Tuscany. Since 2019 they started working on a special project "FFF Florence For Fun" to create fun, interactive educational visits for families.

Their idea of tourism is to fascinate with thrilling stories, allowing visitors to follow their guide not only in museums, churches and galleries, but above all through time, understanding the roots of the genius of artists such as Michelangelo, Leonardo, Brunelleschi, Giotto and Dante, and to consider what led an entire city to dedicate its efforts to the pursuit of beauty. This approach offers the opportunity, even during brief stays, to capture the essence of a land that could change the entire world with the strength of its thoughts and its constant search for beauty.
