Mindful Art Experience
Why Mindfulness and Art?
We offer meaningful encounters with masterpieces of art by using a toolkit of Mindfulness techniques, to counteract the busy nature of our lives and nurture a sense of clarity and focus. In Mindfulness, we exercise our ability to pay attention to the present moment, with purpose and without judgment. We learn to hold our present experience in our full attention, tuned in with all our senses and curiosity. Looking at art offers the perfect opportunity to practice Mindfulness and make time for the wonder and beauty of the visual world, as seen through the eyes of an artist. Art galleries are restful spaces within the city, conducive to quiet contemplation. Mindfulness has been shown to increase productivity, emotional regulation and decision-making. It can have a profound impact on our success in the workplace, as well as our general well-being and happiness. Our mindful sessions are led by Limina Collective.
What are Mindful Museums and can they help us with our mental health?
This picture was taken during the mindful visit to the British Museum. It was the first time I learn about that method, and it has left a deep impression on me. I feel concentrated and relaxed when staring at this Buddha through the black square box. It opened a new way of seeing through the lens of those Buddha artefacts.
