3. Talk & Draw, National Gallery

Visitors explore a National Gallery painting from two different perspectives. Lecturers give a short talk and visitors participate through making their own work in a short, artist-led drawing session.

4. Lessons in Body Language Workshop

Amuse Yourself can design a bespoke workshop for your team. We designed a workshop for the National Gallery’s Adult Programme linked to the theme, Lessons in Body Language. Participants were asked how aware are you of your body language? And how fluent are you at reading and interpreting other people’s signals? The practical course explored the power of communicating through body language from the Old Masters. Through examining a range of portrait and history paintings, participants explored how the figures depicted enhanced their personal impact or presence, built rapport or managed conflict through the messages they evoked with their bodies. Participants used props to try out real-life scenarios, reflecting body language in paintings, and discovered how to use these in their lives. This session was run in collaboration with organisation development consultants, People Make it Work.

Footsteps of the Buddha Trail – British Library
Limina Collective created this tour for the British Library. Participants are invited to take time out of busy life to look, make and relax as a family. Explore a selection of multi-sensory activities, experimenting with sound, mark-making, colour, drawing and collage. You can also choose to take part in a simple meditation exercise, before finishing with a short mindful sculpture walk through the Library.

Entertaining the Nation, Stars of Music, Stage and Screen – Jewish Museum
We created a trail for the Jewish Museum’s exhibition Entertaining the Nation Exhibition.  The exhibition explored the fascinating untold story of Jewish contribution to British entertainment from Victorian music hall to the stars of today. Themes included the stories behind stars of music, stage and screen through a fascinating display of costumes, props, vintage photographs, posters and hands-on objects as well as archive footage and newly commissioned films, in a 1920s inspired cinema. The exhibition offered a range of fun activities for children and families including interactive displays, a dressing up box and a special exhibition trail.

Florentine Frolics Tour – Private Client
We created a trail for a 50th Birthday trip to Florence, which included activities to explore in famous places around Florence, including the splendid Uffizi Gallery.
