Suzan Aral
Suzan Aral has over 20 years’ experience designing for clients as far afield as London, Athens, Hong Kong and Istanbul. Specialising in the heritage, museum and hospitality sectors, her work covers a broad spectrum of projects including beautifully crafted limited-edition books, logo and branding development, event publicity, children's publications and exhibition design.
Suzan is the Founder and Managing Director of ARAL ETC and CRAFTY CRAB, a children’s activity book publisher. Through CRAFTY CRAB, Suzan publishes well-designed, entertaining & educational children’s activity books that encourage creative responses. Suzan received the IBBY-Turkey Best Children's Book Design award in 2009 for one of many publications designed for leading Turkish children's publisher, Gunisigi Kitapligi. Further publications designed by Suzan have since been nominated for the same award.
Suzan is an advocate and volunteer for the influential children’s charity ‘Kids in Museums’, the voice of family museum visitors across Britain (find out more here). Her work with the charity includes promoting and monitoring events such as Takeover Day and the Family Friendly Museum Award.
Suzan is a Visiting Lecturer at East Sussex College HE Art & Design Faculty and teaches the Gold Arts Award graphics module at Eastbourne College. She also develops and delivers creative workshops at Primary / Secondary / FE levels in the UK and abroad.
